QR-Code

Recently we found by chance at “la Gazzetta dello Sport”, A.K.A.  that italian pink sports newspaper an interesting application of QR-Codes.

The code contains a link to: http://gasport.it/01 and as you can see it takes you to a page where you can download a picture, set it as wallpaper and/or access the mobile version of this newspaper.

Text says “Download this pic into your phone. Capture the code or send ans SMS to 34 04 34 34 34 writing 3001″.

For he first time we see a tradictional newspaper renouncing to some extra euros via SMS download and instead they promote their mobile site (http://mobile.gazzetta.it/) and place content in the reader’s cellphone. Isn’t it priceless???
