Looking for the best mobile browser

At mobile browsers compatibility test website from w3c we found a page where you can test how good your mobile browser is. You can access the URL by 3 different ways:

- Typing the URL (http://dev.w3.org/2008/mobile-test/test.html (quite creepy).
- A short URL (using a URL at tinyurl.com)
- But, the most interesting one in by a QR-Code we can capture and have intant access to test our mobile browser.

At the W3C they use QR-Codes!!

It is a very complete test that checks the standards to take into consideration when displaying a website in a mobile display:

iMatrix = iPhone reads QR-Codes

There we go. iPhone user can now read 2D codes with iMatrix. It is an app developed by an non-related to Apple company that decodes QR-Codes.

Iphone QR-Code

If Apple sees iPhone as an internet access device in the future they should soon include this reader (even a built-in solution) or a solution to read 2D codes. This would be both a way to consolidate the iPhone and 2D codes as they to link mobile internet to the real world.

We miss Nokia at the OHA Members list - Open Handset Alliance, but it seems serious , with possiblities and a cool project. Good luck!

Here you can see a presentation video of the Android Project. Sergey Brin and Steve Horowitz explain better than we will ever do what the project is about and what are Google’s expectations.

Obviously project ZXing (see post January 9th) has its Android’s version.

Nokia goes QR

Only if we look back in time and think how fast has been the growth rate of mobile technology can make ourselves an idea of how fast the QRs are going to spread. But only an idea.

Nokia has also gone for QRs

The recently launched Nokia N93 come with a QR-Reader pre-installed. You can read more about this new feature in the user’s manual.

¿Does anyone have any information about this application: design, performance, functions?
