QR-Codes at Facebook

One of the latest applications we have seen in Facebook (via Mobilepedia) is a T-Shirt generator/store that links a QR printed in the T-Shirt with your Facebook identity, so if someone captures your code will be able to check out and add your profile to his/her FB network.

Once again, QR-Codes link the physical/real world with the digital/virtual one, but in this case it is linking people.

The URL embedded is not pointing directly to FB but to an intermediate company that generates the code.

But let’s not fool ourselves. Capturing or having our code captured from a T-Shirt we bought and customized on the Internet, adding or being added by this person on his/her Facebook account, start a friendship surrounded by icons, pics, banners and other stuff and dating the person at the very same place we captured his/her code for the first time would be the freakiest way in the world to pick up girls/guys.

“Haven’t I seen you someplace before?” may be the worst pick-up line in the entire world, but who cares if we have ;)
